Rapidly becoming one of the highlights of FORM Dance Projects’ annual calendar, Sharp Short Dance is growing year by year and unearthing Sydney’s finest young dance talent.  Over the season, more than 50 dance works will be created and performed by young dancers and choreographers aged 21 years and under. The competition inspires and educates young performers to  strive for their own artistic excellence and encourages active participation in dance at all levels.

Works must be 5 minutes or less and winning performances are eligible for awards such as Most  Innovative Choreography, Most Outstanding Male and Female Dancer and the Audience Choice Award. The heat winners will present their works as part of the Gala Final where great industry prizes can be won.

Registrations open on Monday 5 June 2017. Registrations close on Monday 16 October 2017.

DVD, YouTube and Vimeo submissions preferred.
