A cinematic and captivating contemporary jazz experience where bold sounds, playful energy and stories of identity come together.

Zodiac is a Sydney contemporary jazz quartet creating music that is cinematic, playful and deeply personal. Bringing together saxophone, piano, double bass and drums, the group explores the space between composed music and spontaneous improvisation, creating performances that can shift from intimate and reflective to energetic and explosive.

Drawing on the diverse experiences of its members, Zodiac’s music explores ideas of identity, culture, connection and belonging, while embracing the joy and unpredictability of live performance. Their sound is rooted in jazz but reaches beyond its traditional boundaries, incorporating contemporary influences and a strong sense of storytelling.

With two acclaimed albums, national tours and performances across Asia, Zodiac has developed a reputation for engaging audiences through music that is both adventurous and accessible.

Whether you are a lifelong jazz listener or completely new to the genre, Zodiac offers an opportunity to experience contemporary jazz in a fresh and exciting way. Full of movement, imagination and moments that can only happen live.
