NZTrio: East from Here

Venue Lennox Theatre
Dates 23 August 2015

Interconnecting cultural landscapes and relationships through sound.

From a beautiful island nation just east from here comes one of Australasia’s finest ensembles, NZTrio. Known for their bold programming and engaging personalities, this time NZTrio casts the net over the East and hauls in a diverse collection of works from around the Pacific region.

East from Here presents sounds of memory-invoked moods from a child of China, one Aussie’s fascination with a hummingbird’s heartbeats, a flicker of Mozart by a self-proclaimed Taiwanese ‘queen of the night wannabe’, the elimination of all things by the flow of an Indonesian stream, and playfully risky New Zealand inspired rhythms from two of NZ’s best.

Take the plunge and do something new today!
We are so confident that you will love NZTrio: East from Here, that we are offering you the opportunity to buy your tickets with a money back guarantee. Simply purchase your tickets and if you don‘t like the concert see Box Office immediately afterwards and they will give you a full refund.

“Once again these musicians affirmed their status as masters of the musical mix, wrapping their latest commission within two fragrant specimens of romantic chamber music.– William Dart, classical music critic, New Zealand Herald

I’d like to apply for invisible page turner, but know I won’t get the job…I swayed when Justine tenderly swayed, my legs tapped when Ashley’s fab spotty trou tapped, and my eyes popped when Sarah’s shining eyes popped!  Another fabulous Trio evening, exciting the senses and arousing new senses! THANKYOU!” – Audience Member
