None Of Us questions the concept of ownership, identity and connection to place.
Choreographed by DUTI Dance Company director Mathew Mizyed, the work showcases some of Sydney's leading versatile dance artists, Rachell Dade, Andi Huynh and Chantelle Landayan. The work is deeply connected to the idea of ownership with place, people and time.
The choreography is a blend of soft and strong, fluid and fixed, constant and still and is fostered organically through Mathew's patient creative process. None of Us is created with original music by Tony Buchen.
“My father was born in Jaffa, Palestine in 1942. I visited Jaffa and the Wadi Rum desert in 2017. This visit to my father’s homeland made me feel connected to who I am. While it was my first time there, a sense of familiarity engulfed my being. Wadi Rum confronted me in a physical and spiritual way. The expansiveness of this desert land made me question who had walked here before. There were people here before us and ‘None of Us’ were the first. This inspired the name, movement and concept of this work.” - Mathew Mizyed, Director and Choreographer of None Of Us.

LEARN THE REPERTOIRE SEE THE SHOW
For students years 9 – 12
Learn the Repertoire, See the Show offers dance students a unique opportunity to learn repertoire from the show followed by a matinee performance and a post-show Q&A.
Led by choreographer Mathew Mizyed, the workshop will begin with a 15 warm up, followed by learning a section of choreography performed in None Of Us and finishing with the opportunity to perform the choreography in small groups.
