The cream of Australia’s culturally diverse musicians unite to present the Three Sides of Love and Death, a Symphony of musical and spiritual collaboration led by Richard Petkovic and features Asim Gorashi (Sudan), Shohrat Tursun (East Turkistan), Yaw Derkyi (Ghana), Bukhu Gamburged (Mongolia) and Mustafa Karami (Iran).
The 14 piece Sydney World Music Chamber Orchestra embraces western classical music and reminds us of our collective heritage by creating ‘string sections’ from instruments on the Silk Road and a choral section that range from Mongolian throat singing to a tenor vocal from East Turkistan.
Their new work, Three Sides of Love and Death is a celebration of cultural and spiritual diversity and is inspired by the richness of a mindful moment.
