A high-energy playwriting experience where playwrights write in different venues across Parramatta, generating scenes, sketches and short plays in a few hours.

Step into a writer’s room like no other, here on the stage of the Riverside Theatres. Write Here, Write Now is a two-hour creative deep-dive designed for playwrights ready to experiment, collaborate, and connect. Led by Augusta Supple, this event is not your average workshop—it’s a theatrical sprint with a rewarding finish line.

Across two-hours, participants will respond to creative provocations, generate fresh material, and collaborate with fellow writers. Drawing on the streets, stories, and spirit of the city, writers will explore character, structure, and voice in a process that’s equal parts playful and rigorous.

You’ll work drafting scenes, exchanging ideas, and discovering techniques which can unlock your playwriting.

No passive note-taking here. This is about doing, trying, and sharing. Whether you’re an experienced playwright or just dipping your pen into performance, Write Here Write Now offers a chance to bring your ideas, bring your curiosity, bring your courage to an immediacy that can unlock your creativity.
