Get a dose of the funnies with Sydney Comedy Club’s top-rating (and rather hilarious) comedians.

The September line-up* is:

Jason “Rash” Ryder

In the live comedy arena, Jason is one of Australia’s most experienced performers, both a feature comedy act and MC/Host; he was the favoured host for the Comedy Channel for many productions. He has featured in Australia’s top live comedy venues, events, and festivals, both here and overseas, such as the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Festival. He has also toured extensively throughout regional Australia, in addition to performances in London, New York, and for the troops in Afghanistan.

His vast catalogue of practical experience and career development has allowed Jason to become one of Australia’s most valuable and popular corporate humourists. His genuine knockabout Aussie style and accessible material have won him dedicated fans in this most challenging area of entertainment. Jason has twice been nominated for the ‘MO Comic of the Year Award’, which puts him in the company of legendary names like Vince Sorrent, Will Anderson, and Jimeoin.

Peter Meisel (USA)

As a comedian, Peter Meisel is a great entertainer. His witty, hilarious jokes are delivered with a totally deadpan face and an expression of mock seriousness. Meisel has his audience enthralled with every show, evoking spontaneous laughter, which is a result of good-quality comedy being acted out in a professional and talented fashion. After being in the field of standup comedy in Australia for over thirty years, Peter Meisel has established himself as one of the regular members of Australian comedy circles.

Peter Meisel is a teacher from New York who relocated to Australia in 1976 and has been there ever since. Although he was a good teacher, Peter realized that he was more successful in making his students laugh than in teaching. This is how he honed his humour skills and became a standup comedian instead. With his “Super Mario” looks, Meisel looks the part of a person whose main aim in life is to make people laugh and keep them laughing.

Peter Berner

Without doubt, one of Australia’s most popular and respected radio and TV presenters and comics, Peter Berner’s intelligent humour has set him apart as one of Australia’s most outstanding performers. He effortlessly combines comedy styles such as satire, observational, and reactive, leaving audiences in hysterics.

Peter has been a constant feature on Australian radio and television, entertaining audiences with his quick wit and sharp mind. He is also the author of The Book of He and The Book of They.
