The September line-up* is:

Carolyn Swindell

Her first solo show was shortlisted for Best in Comedy at the 2019 Sydney Fringe Festival and she has since opened for Tom Gleeson and is a sought-after act in clubs around Australia. Instead of standing for parliament as a Teal candidate with her other rich white lady friends, she ran a sell-out season at the Sydney Comedy Festival in 2022 of her one-woman political show Nice Lady MP, receiving rave reviews.

“Excruciatingly entertaining….7 stars, and that’s out of 5.” Radio Northern Beaches

“Swindell announces herself as a clever, entertaining comedy must-see.” Chuck Moore Reviews About

“Swindell weaves a complex and compelling narrative that had her audience surprised and spellbound.” ArtsHub, 4.5

Anthony Locascio

Anthony Locascio is one of Australian comedy’s rising stars. Blending sharp joke writing with musings on his ethnic background, Anthony is best known for his unique storytelling. He completed back to back national tours in 2022 and 2023 with the highly successful ‘Don’t Call Me A Wog!’ and ‘Heart Of Darkness’. These took him to the Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Perth, Newcastle, Wollongong and Sydney Comedy Festivals, as well as independent shows in Brisbane and Canberra. He was hand picked for the Perth and Sydney Comedy Festival Galas in 2021 & 2022.

“Anthony embodies the thinking man’s comedian, prepared to traverse the publicly taboo and unexplored recesses of the human psyche” ★★★★★ Dark Stories Theatre

“A great storyteller, who really paints a picture to get the audience enthralled”  ★★★★ Upside Adelaide

“Audience members jolting backwards in fits of laughter”  ★★★★ Weekend Notes Melbourne

“He is one of Australia’s most talented rising stars” ★★★★★ On The House Perth

Dane Simpson

Dane Simpson was a Deadly Funny national finalist in 2015; since then, it has been a fast-rising trajectory for this Wagga based comedian with a whirlwind of corporate gigs, tours, and festival runs – as both a solo artist and as part of Aborigi-LOL. Dane has appeared on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala, the Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow, Channel 10’s Have You Been Paying Attention, Get Krackin, and in feature film rom-com The Merger.

He also produces the monthly Riverina Comedy Club and is a programmer/ producer to the Wagga Comedy Festival every year when there isn’t a pandemic. During lockdown, Dane became host of cult-hit Servo Bingo – an interactive online show revolving around the vehicles and characters turning up at the service station opposite Thirsty Crow brewery in Wagga. Yes, it was as silly and fun as it sounds.

“A brilliant highlight”  The Age

“Massively talented”  Time Out

“Dane Simpson is proving that the best comedy can be found in the most genuine human experiences”  Daily Advertiser
