Get a dose of the funnies with Sydney Comedy Club’s top-rating (and rather hilarious) comedians.

The March line-up* is:

Peter Willey

Peter Willey is a great name for comedy and a very bad name for primary school teaching.  Peter is simply hilarious.  He said so himself.  He is a stand-up comedian, singer, songwriter, parodist and poet who draws his inspiration from the suburban wastelands.  His routines are witty and insightful.  Peter brings music to comedy with his arsenal of original songs and rollicking reworking of famous tunes.  His jokes have not been tested on animals.

Come and hear Peter’s “The Kitchen Tea Tupperware Massacre of 1965”  or his infamous “The Day I Wore My Inside Thongs Outside”.  Perhaps he could be persuaded to summarise Shakespeare’s plays in a couple of limericks.

Peter has demonstrated his ability to make audiences laugh.  Peter has performed several times at the Sydney Comedy Club.  He is very keen to get back there to perform again and to find his wallet.

Peter has performed at countless comedy clubs, pubs, sheds, greyhound tracks and tents.  Check out his website: www.peterwilley.com.au, come see him live or ignore him completely.

Richard Lindesay

A musical comedian whose act is a unique and surprising mixture of recorders and flutes, original songs, clown-like physical comedy, and sharp one-liner jokes – Richard Lindesay‘s performances are praised by audiences as being inclusive, inoffensive and joyous.

After many years honing his craft in comedy clubs and festivals throughout the UK and mainland Europe, in 2020 Richard was selected for the UK Musical Comedy Awards, which discovers the best musical comedians each year from hundreds of participants. Making a huge impact during the heats of the competition, he was put straight through to the Grand Final. Richard was ultimately unable to perform in the finals due to COVID implications but was tipped by judges as a favourite to win.

In June 2023 Richard broke out on social media, with his first hit song Recorder in the Corner collecting tens of millions of views on TikTok and subsequently amassing over one million streams within a month on Spotify and other streaming services. His songs have been used on TikTok by the Paralympics and USA Major League Baseball.

Proving his staying power with high engagement on his clips and weekly live sessions on TikTok, Richard continues to build a worldwide following of close to 700,000 across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.

Jackie Loeb

Winner of the prestigious Australian Mo Award for ‘Comedian of the Year’, Jackie Loeb has been a fixture on the global stand-up comedy landscape since she burst onto the scene.

Jackie was a cast member and writer on the iconic sketch comedy series Full Frontal and has appeared on Stand Up Australia, Studio Ten, Tonightly, Good News Week & The Footy Show Jackie has wowed audiences across Australia and around the world with numerous appearances at The Sydney Comedy Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, New Zealand International Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Hollywood Fringe Festival, Aspen Comedy Festival and the Vodafone Comedy Festival in South Africa where she was described as “The pick of the crop.”

Splitting her time between Australia and the US, Jackie was a series regular on the Emmy Award nominated Netflix series Trash Truck, where she voiced the role of a wise and worldly Australian Rat.

She also made several guest appearances on hit TV shows such as Superstore, Better Things as well as headlining comedy clubs across Los Angeles and beyond. Jackie has shared the stage with some of the world’s best comedians including Weird Al Yankovic, Julia Morris, Gina Yashere, Will Anderson, Judith Lucy and Craig Robinson just to name a few.
