Get a dose of the funnies with Sydney Comedy Club’s top-rating (and rather hilarious) comedians.

The February line-up* is:

Dan Rath

Dan Rath has enough parking ticket debt to cripple a small European country and he has watched his car get cubed by the government. He has been disrespected by his colleagues and is bruised and battered with nothing to lose. His low status means he has heightened cortisol production and is not equipped to take a gentle ribbing. He has a diverse set of interests including prime numbers.

Gary Eck

Gary is an accomplished stand-up comedian who has performed all around the world from Singapore to Paris, to New York and London and has done comedy shows at the Edinburgh, Melbourne and Sydney Comedy Festivals.

Gary Eck has compered and performed stand-up comedy alongside some of Australia biggest companies in Australia and internationally.

Gary has also carved a career in film and television. He co-wrote and co-directed Happy Feet Two with Academy Award winner George Miller. He also voiced several characters for the film.

Gary won the world’s largest short film competition, Tropfest, with his short, The Money and took second place two years prior with his comedy short Tragic Love.

Eck co-wrote and starred in the cult hit You Can’t Stop the Murders and featured in the film Boytown alongside Mick Molloy and Glen Robbins.

Gary co-created the hit kids animation series, VEGESAURS which currently screens on ABC TV and iView and is now its fourth season. Vegesaurs is the number 2 show on BBC, just behind Bluey! Gary also writes and episode directs the series.

Gary has written two children’s picture books, Wake Up Sleepyhead and The Day the Moon Came to Stay (Scholastic) which is out now.

Gary Eck is regularly on Richard Glover’s, Thank God It’s Friday on ABC 702.

David Valvo

David Valvo is a seasoned comedian with a remarkable talent for impersonations.

From an early age, David mimicked cartoon characters, school teachers, and later, his colleagues and clients, earning laughs wherever he went. His true specialty lies in channelling the voices of famous actors, comedians, and celebrities with uncanny accuracy.

Talent quests have always been a highlight of David’s career, showcasing his ability to captivate audiences with his quick wit and spot-on impressions.

Having travelled to 63 countries, David has mastered over 50 accents and picked up phrases from more than 50 languages. His global adventures have deepened his appreciation for diverse cultures, cuisines, and histories. Of course, his linguistic flair is just enough to get him not out of trouble, but into it!
