‘Mountain Goat Mountain’ is a Threshold experience created by Zoë Barry, Liz Francis, Nikita Hederics, Tahli Corin and Sarah Lockwood.
The internationally acclaimed audio-theatre adventure – is now available to access in their very own classrooms!
Mountain Goat Mountain is an interactive and immersive audio narrative with a richly detailed soundscape that casts you and your students as both the actors and the audience.
Through 5 immersive episodes, that are framed by Drama cross-curricular learning opportunities, students can work together to uncover the secrets of the Mountain, and discover the hidden treasures in each other.
This activity is guided by the teacher in the classroom. Episodes are accessed online and played to students via your classroom speakers.
Mountain Goat Mountain uses simple technology to bring the magic of the theatre into the classroom. As a self-guided program, teachers may choose how deeply to embed Mountain Goat Mountain into their curriculum. For example, students will be asked to draw a monster, build a cave and cross a river! These student artworks can be as simple or as spectacular as you choose! Ideal for new and experienced junior primary teachers, it has been designed to enhance and complement what you are already doing in the classroom.
In School – Audio Experience
This is an in-school, audio-only experience and will not be at Riverside. If you’d like to book, please contact the education booking team at education_riverside@cityofparramatta.nsw.gov.au about purchasing your school pass. Once you have completed the full payment, we will send you a confirmation email with details about accessing the contents of this unique experience.
Schools can book at any time prior to Term 3 to prepare in advance and will be able to have access to the contents for the entire period between Monday 21 July and Friday 19 December 2025.

To complete your booking email education_riverside@cityofparrmatta.nsw.gov.au. You’ll receive a booking invoice for the total cost of the school pass including the booking fee with a payment due date. It is your responsibility to forward the tax invoice to your Financial Officer for payment by the due date.
