Fiona Pearson & Libby Wood

Fiona Pearson and Libby Wood have spent 7 years touring the country as part of Lady Sings it Better, a dry-witted, fiercely feminist cabaret directed by queer theatre-maker, Maeve Marsden. Each a skilled performer in their own right, Libby has performed in critically acclaimed cabaret, Mother’s Ruin: A Cabaret about Gin, and Fiona has toured internationally with duo, Kelfi & Fikel, and most recently won best actress in the Gold Coast Film Festival for her performance in Jack Yabsley’s ‘Super Nice’. Lady Sings it Better have been described as “comic cabaret gold” (The Scotsman) and “sassy, passionate, and downright hilarious

Jonathon Holmes

Jonathon Holmes is a theatre composer and book writer, singer-songwriter, jazz pianist, piano-bar entertainer and actor from Sydney, Australia. His musical comedy ‘Three in the Bed’, which he wrote and directed, has had two Sydney seasons since 2017. Reviewers called it “terrific fun: cheeky, sexy, laugh out loud… full of heart” and “a success”. Jonathon just finished writing his newest musical ‘Jingle Hell’, which is ready for production. He released his debut singer-songwriter EP ‘Plutonese’ in 2014; and four singles since then. Jonathon is the host, arranger and pianist of ‘Mickey’s Jazz Club’, swinging Disney songs in Sydney and Adelaide fringe festivals. After being the piano-bar entertainer for Carnival Cruise Line, he re-purposed that skill into ‘Keys & Crash (& Karaoke)’, which plays Saturdays at Meraki Arts Bar. His theatre credits over the years include directing ‘The Fantasticks’ (Exclaim), and acting as Berger in ‘Hair’ (Exclaim); Hewson/Downer in ‘Keating!’ (Birdie) and Tobias in ‘Sweeney Todd’ (AIM). This year he played Clopin in ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ twice (Blackout & Regals). Jonathon holds a Bachelor of Music (Music Theatre).

Kelsi has worked professionally since the age of 11 when she was cast as Debbie Wilkinson in Billy Elliot at the Capitol Theatre in 2007. Kelsi then performed as a NSW School Spectacular Lead Vocalist for 6 years before starring as Belle in Beauty and the Beast (Packemin Productions) and graduating from the Talent Development Project (TDP) in 2014.

Kelsi graduated with a Bachelor in Musical Theatre from the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2017, playing various roles during her studies in productions such as Rent, 42nd Street, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Heathers and Chicago. She then toured China and Japan as a Lead Vocalist on the Quantum of the Seas with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines before returning to Australia where she was selected as a finalist for the Rob Guest Endowment Award.

Since returning to Australia, Kelsi has been seen in the leading role of Scaramouche in We Will Rock You (Packemin Productions; 2021) and as Schapelle Corby in Schapelle, Schapelle, a new Australian musical Kelsi choreographed and helped develop. The show enjoyed sold out seasons at both the Adelaide Fringe Festival (2020) and the Sydney Comedy Festival (2021) and will tour Australia in 2022 including to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival & Brisbane Comedy Festival.

Last year, Kelsi appeared on The Voice: Generations for Channel 7 where she was a Grand Finalist working alongside mentor, Jessica Mauboy. She played the principal role of Meg Giry in The Phantom of the Opera with Opera Australia HOSH, before going on to play Baby Joan/June in Anyone Can Whistle at the Hayes Theatre. This year, Kelsi returned to the role of Meg Giry in The Phantom of the Opera this time for the European Tour starting in Athens, Greece. Kelsi is represented by T&E Management.

Debora Krizak is one of Australia’s most versatile and critically recognized performers. Originally from Adelaide, Debora holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Performing Arts and commenced her professional musical career in Mel Brooks’ “The Producers” in 2004. Further professional credits include “Titanic – a new musical” (Seabiscuit), “Respect the Musical”, “Calendar Girls” (Elaine – GFO), Sondheim on Sondheim(Squabbalogic) and “A Chorus Line” (Sheila – TML Enterprises), which earned her a Helpmann Award Nomination for best supporting actress and winner of most popular actress in a musical for Broadway World.

Debora toured Australia in the acclaimed Australian production of “Sweet Charity” (Hayes Theatre), playing the dual roles of Nickie and Ursula, which earned her another Helpmann nomination as well as winning the Sydney Theatre Critics Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical.

Debora later made her debut with Opera Australia, playing the role of Erma in the Cole Porter Musical “Anything Goes”. Following that, she starred in The Production Company’s “Jerrys Girls”, playing one of Australia’s most celebrated leading ladies.

Debora has also starred in “Cabaret” as Fraulein Kost for Showtune Productions and as the title role of Lola in the Australian workshop production of “Lola Montez” for the Follies Company. She has also played Kate Leigh in the original Australian production of “Razorhurst” for Hayes Theatre as well as originating the role of Gina Wong in the Brisbane Festival’s production of “Shanghai Lady Killer” for Stalker Theatre.

Most recently Debora played Tanya in Mamma Mia!, Killer Queen in “We Will Rock You” (Packemin Productions) and as the wicked stepmother, “Madame”, in the Brisbane season of “Cinderella” for Opera Australia/Crossroads Live.

Debora’s cabaret appearances have seen her perform on cruise lines all around the world and she also stars as “Sharon Carpenter” in “The Carpenters from Kempsey” – a comedy cabaret paying tribute to those fabulous “other” Carpenters – with sell out seasons in festivals all over Australia.

Her corporate and concert engagements include the Paralympic Games, the Symphony Orchestra’s James Bond concert series and Christmas Proms, the national anthem for both the men’s and women’s Ashes Cricket test, the Australian Football League, NRL and Papua New Guinea’s Susa Mama’s Charity.

Debora has just returned from Queensland where she has been playing the role of Mrs Wilkinson in Billy Elliot at The Star Casino.
