What happens to a life-long friendship when two ordinary men are ordered to do the unthinkable?
After a successful and critically acclaimed season in 2022, Guards at the Taj is making its return season!
Featuring a heartbreakingly funny friendship put to the ultimate test and existential banter reminiscent of Beckett and Stoppard, Guards at the Taj mixes witty black comedy with the bloodiest deeds of Greek tragedy.
National Theatre of Parramatta welcomes you to immerse yourself in a night at the theatre. Our budget-friendly Welcome Night $29* tickets aim to give audiences the freedom to dip their toe in and explore works from Western Sydney and around the world. Join us for a Welcome Night for Guards at the Taj on Thursday 12 September.
"It’s not just that directorial debuts don’t come any stronger than this, few productions of any sort do."
"Sondhi and Caplash imbue their odd couple-esque characters with the perfect amount of individual likeability and collective chemistry, meaning that they can dominate the stage together and on their own."

Audio Description (AD) enhances the live performance experience for people who are blind or have low vision by providing a narration that provides detailed information and descriptions of the visual elements of a performance. AD is relayed via a free headset and receiver linked to the FM radio system. For select AD performances, tactile tours will be available. Tactile tours allow patrons who are blind or have low vision to have a hands-on experience. Patrons are given access to costumes, props and stage set in order to capture the atmosphere of the work. Tactile tours occur before the performance. To book the service and confirm if your chosen performance has a tactile tour available, call our Box Office on 02 8839 3399.
