This series of films look at the politics of general elections in Fiji.

This session of the 2024 Pasifika Film Fest presents three short films directed and produced by Fijian director, Tumeli Tuqota.

Hangover at the Takeover

After a night of fun, the last thing Ariela Zibiah wanted at work was drama. But she got more than she bargained for when she became an unwilling witness to a historic event that rocked Fiji’s political landscape – the civilian coup of 2000. Sit with filmmakers Tumeli Tuqota and Laisiasa Dave Lavaki as Ariela recounts her amazing story over a basin of Fiji kava.
