A work-in-progress showcase that fosters innovation and provides opportunities for artists to explore new forms of expression through dance.
A dance theatre production that explores and addresses social issues within the context of South Asian barber shops, particularly in suburbs like Parramatta, Harris Park and Blacktown. The project aims to challenge misogyny, and stereotypes and promote a more inclusive and equitable society.
Conceived as a dance theatre project, Bunty Barber touches on the LGBTIQA+ angle of toxic misogyny inside an Indian Barbershop and cultural spillover within the diaspora.
