Finally! A diaspora show for Western Sydney that isn’t about “not fitting in” or “being stuck between worlds”.

Big Nose Big Dreams is the debut hour comedy and one man show from Egyptian-Australian writer and comic Daniel Mehareb. Having been both a state finalist in the Melbourne Comedy Festival’s RAW comedy competition and the Bankstown Poetry Slam’s 2024 Grand Slam this is a show weaving together the lighthearted comedy that Egyptians are famous for along with the poetic honesty of his spoken word prose.

If you’re looking for diaspora show about “not fitting in” or “living between worlds” then you may have to keep looking. Growing up amongst the Middle-Eastern community of south west Sydney its hard to have an identity crisis when every head looks like you! Daniel draws upon his perspective and experiences to tell funny and ultimately humanising stories of community for community.
