Come, Be The Witness – Walk with Jesus and His disciples and celebrate faith, hope, love and community.

Be The Witness is a soul-stirring musical written by Jimmy and Carol Owens in the heady days of musical theatre in the late 70s. Refreshed for a 2026 audience, it brings the Gospel to life through unforgettable music, gripping storytelling, a multicultural cast and a celebration of the power of community. The story of Jesus, told through the eyes of Peter, his fellow disciples and friends, this epic production invites diverse audiences of all ages into the heart of the Gospel—real, human and deeply transformational.

Delivering ancient truths in a new, dynamic format that speaks across time and place, Be The Witness features 20 show-stopping songs, performed by a local cast of Christian actors and a stunning chorus of more than 60 voices, accompanied by a live band. Enhanced by striking visual effects, the production immerses audiences in a journey of courage, sacrifice, doubt, love and hope—reflecting experiences we all wrestle with today.

More than a retelling, Be The Witness is a call: Come and be the witness. Witness the power of discipleship, the cost of following, and the quiet, world-changing choices made through faith, compassion and love in action. This is much more than a musical—it is a shared, uplifting experience. Drawing together diverse voices and creatives from across Sydney, Be The Witness celebrates the unifying power of music and theatre to inspire purpose, belonging and renewal.

Whether you come for the music, the story or the message, Be The Witness promises a moving and memorable time at the theatre—one that will stay with you long after the final note.
