Queer Screen’s Mardi Gras Film Festival

Screens with short film: Love + Revolution (directed by Jacqui North).

Four queer refugees – Subhi, Junior, Cheyenne and Mari – arrive in San Francisco to seek asylum in the United States. Fleeing persecution at home, they struggle to secure basic human needs (food, shelter and income) and overcome loneliness, homesickness and isolation in a country not their own.

Acclaimed documentary maker Tom Shepard unpacks their stories with care and it’s impossible not to be shattered by the lows and delighted by the highs they experience. Unsettled provides an opportunity to bear witness to the real lives of the real people who are conspicuously absent from politics.

Andy and Terry’s Treehouse has reached an amazing 91 stories! It is now more fantastically dangerous than ever, with a deserted desert island, a whirlpool and a giant spider.
