The Violent Outburst That Drew Me To You

Venue Raffertys Theatre
Dates 21 November - 30 November 2013

Sixteen year old Connor is angry. He doesn’t know why, and he doesn’t know where to direct it. People and things he once liked annoy him. They itch, like sores. Anger doesn’t like other people. So Connor isolates himself in the middle of the country.  Soon he discovers that anger is hiding away with him. Connor knows he will be angry forever. Then a girl walks into the woods.  And it turns out she is angry too…The Inaugural recipient of a Sydney Myer Creative Fellowship, Finegan Kruckemeyer is one of Australia’s most exciting and celebrated playwrights. Coupled with Kate Gaul, a director who has worked with every major theatre company in Sydney on productions ranging from musicals, opera and drama to Shakespeare and set to the music of Daryl Wallis, The Violent Outburst That Drew Me To You is a twisted, foot-stamping, magical and musical tale full of illusion and surprise for angry young people…and door-slammers past and present.
