Sydney Writers’ Festival 2018 presents
THE FUTURE OF WRITING

Following author Anna Todd’s success with fan-fiction favourite After, publishing houses are increasingly looking to online self-publishing for new stories with a built-in fan base. But can writers use digital platforms to bypass publishers altogether? And what other freedoms does technology provide authors in the modern world?

Three celebrated writers – Tonya Alexandra, Alison Croggon and Jay Kristoff – sit down with Young Adult author Jenna Guillaume for a fascinating discussion about how technology is reshaping writers’ lives and how it has influenced their careers.
