SHARP SHORT DANCE

Sharp Short Dance unearths Sydney’s finest young dancers.

The competition provides a rare opportunity for aspiring choreographers and dancers to display their talents. The festival inspires young performers, 21 and under, to strive for their own artistic excellence and encourages active youth participation in all genres of dance.

Entries have now closed for the competition and tickets are now on sale.

Come and see dancers perform in their heat as a panel of industry professionals invite the best works to perform in the final where they compete for sponsored awards. Award categories include Most Innovative Choreography, Outstanding Male Performer, Outstanding Female Performer, Outstanding Solo Performance, Outstanding Duet Performance, Outstanding Ensemble Performance and Audience Choice Award. Finalists are also eligible for industry secondment opportunities with major professional dance companies and artists.

Dates & Times:
Heats – Tuesday 13 – Thursday 15 November at 7:30pm
Final – Saturday 17 November at 7:30pm
