Jon Klassen is the author-illustrator of I Want My Hat Back, a Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor book, and This Is Not My Hat, winner of the Caldecott Medal. He is also the illustrator of House Held Up by Trees, written by Ted Kooser, which was named a New York Times Book Review Best Illustrated Children’s Book, and Sam and Dave
Dig a Hole, written by Mac Barnett, which won a Caldecott Honor. Originally from Niagara Falls, Ontario, Jon Klassen now lives in Los Angeles.
Liz Pichon is the author of the best-selling ‘Tom Gates’ series, which has sold 1,000,000 books in the UK alone and been translated into 36 languages. The first book in the series, The Brilliant World of Tom Gates, won the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, The Red House Book Award Best Book for Young Readers and the Waterstone’s Best Fiction for 5-12 year olds. The fourth book in the series, Tom Gates: Genius Ideas Mostly, won the Blue Peter Award for Best Story. Liz has also written and illustrated a number of picture books. She lives in Brighton, UK.
Tohby Riddle is a multi-award-winning creator of numerous well-loved picture books, two cartoon collections and a novel. In his latest book, The Greatest Gatsby: A Visual Book of Grammar, he has directed his love of words and pictures to the tricky subject of grammar. By making the book Tohby Riddle wished he’d had when he was learning grammar at school, he might just have created a world first: a visual book of grammar – that is simple, fun, understandable and memorable!
Judith Rossell has been an illustrator and writer of children’s books for over 12 years. Before that, she worked as a government scientist (not a mad scientist, a normal kind of scientist) and also for a cotton spinning
company (that made threads for T-shirts and denim jeans and mops and teabag strings). She has written 11 books and illustrated more than 80. Her books have been published in the UK and the USA, and have been translated
into more than 10 languages. Judith lives in Melbourne with a cat the size of a walrus.

- FINAL PAYMENT
You can request changes to student numbers up to 4 school weeks prior to the performance. We strongly recommend making the cut-off point for students to pay the school and confirm their attendance at around 5 – 6 weeks before the performance or workshop date, giving yourself plenty of time to confirm final numbers. Riverside will invoice you for the balance, payable 4 school weeks before your performance or workshop date. At that stage student numbers are final. Bookings cannot be held if your final payment is not received and the deposit is forfeited. An increase of numbers is possible after the final payment day and is subject to availability.
- FINAL INFORMATION SENT TO SCHOOLS
A letter of confirmation will be issued instead of individual tickets if you are attending a performance that has been allocated as a schools matinee. For other general public performances, you will be issued with tickets which you will be required to collect from Box Office before the performance. Prior to your visit, we will send you detailed information via email to ensure you have a hassle-free excursion. This will include updating you on any possible changes to running times or more detailed information as it emerges from the rehearsal process. Please ensure you have given a valid email address on your booking form.
- ATTEND AND ENJOY!
Seating at schools performances is general admission (unless otherwise specified) and schools will be asked to enter the theatre as a group. We advise arriving at the theatre approximately 30 minutes prior to your performance.
Please note all school bookings made within 4 school weeks of a performance date must be paid in full within 1 week of confirmation and are final. There are no refunds or changes to numbers or dates on these bookings. If you have concerns about meeting the terms and conditions, please contact us on 8839 3308.
