France’s biggest stars in a visually inventive tale of doomed love

Handsome, wealthy Colin (Romain Duris) meets the gorgeous Chloe (Audrey Tautou) at a party in Paris, and the two fall in love. When a flower begins growing in Chloe’s lungs Colin must do everything in his power to save her. Based on the popular 1947 novel by Boris Vian, Mood Indigo is a surreal story of love and loss set in a fantastical universe, brought to life by the marvellously inventive Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). By turns whimsical and poignant, it benefits from magnetic performances from some of France’s most beloved actors.

The eccentric imagination that’s gone into the creation of the images and the tricks in this film are completely delightful.” – Margaret Pomeranz
