SEAN WOODLAND
Sean Woodland began performing stand-up comedy at age 40. Since then he has forged his dream career, captivating audiences around Australia and abroad, with his ‘everyman’ appeal always a winning formula. Sean’s material is endearingly relevant as he tells comical truths from his own, varied experiences whilst also drawing on a barrage of observational funnies that are befitting of his irreverent and curious persona. He cleverly dismantles meaningless language, shallow rituals, pretentiousness, tokenism and many other annoyances borne of popular culture.
Not limited to the stage, Sean performs in sketch comedy, is a freelance writer and author, having numerous satirical pieces published in Australian magazines and newspapers.
“Has more than the average number of laughs up his sleeve… Do Woodland and yourself a favour and get along.” – The Adelaide Advertiser
“His understated punchlines and observations will resonate for a long time” – RipitUp
SURAJ KOLARKAR
Starting his comedy career in Brisbane, Suraj Kolarkar has quickly developed a profile across Australia having performed at some of the biggest stages in the country including Comics Lounge (Melbourne), Comedy Lounge (Perth) Mic in Hand (Sydney) and Rhino Room (Adelaide).
He’s gigged alongside pros of the likes of Dave Hughes, Dave Thornton, Mel Buttle, Damien Power and Dusty Rich to name a few.
You might have heard him on ABC Brisbane or TRIPLE M.
In February 2018, he won Moonman’s Open Mic Night organized and hosted by Lawrence Mooney through Triple M.
PETER MEISEL
Peter Meisel is a teacher from New York who relocated to Australia in 1976, and has been there ever since. Although he was a good teacher, Peter realized that he was more successful in making his students laugh than in teaching, which was how he honed his skills in humour, and ended up becoming a standup comedian instead.
