Riverside Theatres and The Metropolitan Orchestra Present

The Metropolitan Orchestra’s (TMO) final performance for 2022 conducted by Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams, features another trailblazing world premiere by Australian composer and TMO Artist in Residence Keyna Wilkins.

The orchestra returns to the Riverside Theatre in Parramatta for this night of brightm spirited and energised music. Dvorak’s lively Carnival Overture will set a bright and jovial tone for the night of music ahead before TMO proudly presents the exceptional world premiere of Keyna Wilkins’ brand new orchestral work. The Triple Flute Concerto will feature three of TMO’s premiere flutists in a piece that accentuates the exceptional capabilities of the flute both in solo and in harmony with full orchestral backing.

The bright and joyous theme will reach a stirring pinnacle with Elgar’s incredible Enigma Variations, a work that is filled with powerful emotions, scenery and wonderful imagery to deliver a fitting end what has been a colourful and energised year of music for The Metropolitan Orchestra.
