Dates

27 May 2017

It’s hard to believe that award-winning authors J.C. Burke (The Story of Tom Brennan, Pig Boy), Amie Kaufman (Illuminae, These Broken Stars) and Mariko Tamaki (Skim, This One Summer) still have to battle stereotypes in their books and their careers. We unfortunately are still living in a time when female authors are pigeonholed and gender stereotypes affect readers as well as characters. Join Amie, Mariko and J.C. Burke as they look at the future of women in YA literature. With Bec Kavanagh.

Presented by the Stella Schools Program.
