Danielle Walker is a strange, if not perhaps slightly deranged girl known for her dark and twisted everyday observations and stories. Moving from Townsville to Melbourne in 2015, Danielle started gigging and honing her craft and it was in early 2016 that she took out the prize in Australia’s biggest open mic competition and was named RAW Comedy National Champion.
Since then, Danielle has been handpicked by the Melbourne Comedy Festival to be part of The Comedy Zone – a line-up show in the festival of the five best new comedians from around Australia and has gone on to appear on Comedy Up Late and Stand and Deliver, both for the ABC.
Danielle has appeared as ‘Ranger Danny’ alongside stars Kate McLennan and Kate McCartney on ABC TV’s Get Krack!n or you may have seen her doing stand up on ABC Comedy’s Tonightly with Tom Ballard, or the Just for Laughs Stand Up Series on The Comedy Channel when she was invited by JFL to perform at the Sydney Opera House.
Danielle’s first hour long stand up show Bush Rat won her the Best Newcomer Award at the Melbourne Comedy Festival in 2018. Winning this prestigious award saw Danielle take her show to the Soho Theatre in London’s West End in early 2019. Danielle returned to the festival circuit in 2019 with her second show Myths & Legends.
Michelle Azevedo is a writer and stand-up comedian. USA born and Central Queensland raised, Michelle has been running her mouth on stage since 2012 to much hubbub, ballyhoo and brouhaha (she couldn’t remember the word she wanted to use here, but has been assured that these do get her point across).
Michelle has done some fun things since starting comedy, such as making it to the state finals of RAW Comedy QLD, three successful split-billed festival shows, as well as being a resident host and founding member of Brisbane cult darlings This Thing Of Ours and Soup At The Milk Factory. Performing her first solo show ‘Cool Girl’ at Brisbane Funny Fest to a sold-out crowd in 2018, she has since made the big move to Sydney, and she can’t bloody wait to meet you all.
Concetta Caristo is a Sydney-based comedian, writer, actor, storyteller, improviser, but more importantly, an italian woman. Two-time Cranston Cup Grand-Finalist, Improv Theatre Sydney Smackdown Champion and she is the darling of Sydney’s improv and comedy scene. You’ve seen her on PedestrianTV, JUNKEE, ABC’s Fresh Blood, and heard her on FBi, 2RRR, The Thinker Girls and her cult-hit podcast, ‘Get Over It’ with John Robles.
Lizzy Hoo is many things – a writer, noodle enthusiast, designer, actor, sports lover, and rescue greyhound owner. Lizzy is also a stand-up comedian who has rapidly become one of Australia’s most exciting new voices.
Lizzy only started doing stand-up in 2017, originally as a way to gain more self-confidence. Safe to say it worked out pretty well. She quickly found herself an NSW State Finalist in the national RAW Comedy competition. The very next year she was invited to perform at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival at the Sydney Opera House, with her spot broadcast on Network Ten and Foxtel’s Comedy Channel.
This meteoric rise was thankfully dealt a dose of humility as she was booed off stage by a 12-year-old niece at that year’s Hoo Family Christmas Talent Show. Brutal.
Self proclaimed ‘Australia’s First Attractive Comedian’, Elouise Eftos is not only hot, smart, funny & talented but also a quadruple threat (actor, singer, dancer & stand up comedian). Elouise knew she was funny from a very young age but it wasn’t until 2017 while studying acting at WAAPA she decided to write some jokes and try stand up for the first time. Turns out stand up is way easier than she thought & she’s really good at it!
Elouise was a WA RAW State Finalist In 2018 & a NSW RAW State Finalist in 2019. She regularly performs at comedy venues around Sydney (The Comedy Store, Cafe Lounge etc) and has been acting in Indie Theatre Productions including 2018 Sydney Fringe Award Winning Musical ‘Inner West Side’ and she’s even played a paramedic on Home & Away (yes she can be serious when needed). You can also catch her in Aaron Chen’s isolation web series ‘Inside Aaron’ on YouTube. Elouise has just returned to Sydney after 10 months in covid free Perth where she spent time making a few online videos that went viral (which resulted in Today Show interviews) and was regulary gigging at multiple venues including the Comedy Lounge WA. After a very successful month of gigs at Perth’s Fringe World Festival she is back in Sydney for good and excited to bring a little more sass to the comedy scene here.
