A fun filled comedy - full of intrigue, love, romance, conflict, and surprising situations that bring out the humour of family life.

Charlie Gilchrist found that moving out of the family home and in with his mates wasn’t quite what he expected. After all when the electricity bill isn’t paid – you can expect the inevitable – no power. It’s pretty hard practising an electric guitar with no electricity! He did the most sensible thing, he moved back with his Mum and Dad bringing his mate Izzy with him. Life continued smoothly until Izzy’s half brother Lucas wanted him to mind his new motor bike while he was away. But was he really away? Charlie and Izzy find themselves caught up in all kinds of hilarious situations and even a brush with the law. This fast-moving comedy with a cast of 13 intriguing characters will keep you entertained from beginning to end. The Family Affairs with the Gilchrists series was generated from the first play “All We Wanted Was A Roof” which won first prize in Toowoomba Repertory International Play Writing Competition in 2015.
