Stories by teenagers for teenagers.

After two sold‑out seasons, hundreds of high school student audience members, and the launch of 12 published teenage playwrights, Laneikka Denne returns with The Monologue Collective, bigger and bolder than ever: Western Sydney Edition.

This new edition presents nine original monologues written by Western Sydney teenagers, created specifically for drama students preparing their HSC Individual Performance.

Led by a Western Sydney–based creative team, The Monologue Collective centres authentic stories by young people from Western Sydney, written for and performed by the next generation of local artists.

Scribbles of Stage and Screen

"...absolute standout pieces that were so impressively written, I was shocked to discover the writers’ ages."

Scribbles of Stage and Screen

"The audience of mostly schoolkids enjoyed the show, particularly the youthful language and topical references. You could tell that the high schoolers were very excited about seeing themselves represented on stage, and also at the prospect that they, too, could write stories like this."
