The Multicultural Comedy Gala returns to take the mickey out of everything that makes us different, but so much the same, with an acclaimed line-up of award-winning stand-up stars.
Whether you’re First Nations, first generation, tenth generation or a new Australian, you’ll find plenty to make you snort with laughter in the Multicultural Comedy Gala.
This year’s stellar line-up features: Nazeem Hussain (SBS’s Legally Brown, Orange is the New Brown); comedy veteran George Kapiniaris (Wogs Out of Work, Fat Pizza); Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) Best Newcomer nominee He Huang (of viral fame from Australia’s Got Talent); MICF Raw Comedy runner-up Cameron Duggan (ABC’s At Home Alone Together); MICF Deadly Funny finalist Gavin Sempel (Black Comedy); and the triple j movie segment’s and “the comedic equivalent of a vodka Red Bull” (On the Town), Amelia Navascues.
