Riverside presents Clockfire Creative Lab
UNMASKING THE THEATRE OF MOVEMENT
A Practical Workshop in the Lecoq® Technique

“[The] students and I found the workshops extremely enjoyable, informative and rewarding. They had spent 2 weeks in class studying his [Jacques Lecoq’s] pedagogy and training techniques and this workshop was an excellent ‘joining the dots’ exercise for the students.” – Andrew O’Callaghan, Teacher, Hunter School of the Performing Arts

After successful education seasons of Lecoq workshops in 2019, the acclaimed Clockfire Creative Lab return to Riverside.

Discover physical approaches to theatre and performance with this in-depth investigation of the Jacques Lecoq performance theory and pedagogy.

Led by Lecoq trained alumni Emily Ayoub and Madeline Baghurst, this unmissable interactive workshop introduces students to Jacques Lecoq’s insight ‘tout bouge’ (everything moves) and takes them on a comprehensive journey of the renowned technique.

From physicalising observations of the everyday to examining the role of Neutral Mask in actor training, students will develop the tools to create presence in the body and experience an enhanced understanding of physical awareness, coordination and openness in space.

Workshops will take place in our Riverside Studio which has a separate entrance at 353 Church St and is clearly sign posted. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the workshop.
