Stories From The West Side

Venue

Raffertys Theatre

Dates

21 November - 01 December 2012

Drawn from the true-life stories of some of the colourful, diverse, eccentric and fascinating locals who live in the Parramatta community, this surprising production lifts the lid on the neighbourhood. From Sydney’s prestigious Actors Centre Australia under the guidance of Artistic Director Dean Carey, will explore the lives of an equivalent number of local identities through in-depth recorded interviews. These insights are woven together into a compelling night of theatre in which the actors recreate every line, pause and nuance of thought; the audience receiving a direct download from people’s minds and hearts. Powerful, raw and honest, funny and moving, this is verbatim theatre at its most revealing.
