Set against the backdrop of a spate of attacks on Indian students in Australia, the World Premiere of this character-driven documentary follows the contrasting journeys of two Indian students whose expectations and reality are in constant conflict.

Sunshine & Shade opens Parramasala’s South Asian Film in Focus program, curated by Ravi Kambhoj, which features eight films across three days. The screening is preceded by a performance from slam poet Amna Bilgrami and followed by an expert panel discussion.
