By Annie Byron

Based on Kissing Frogs by Andee Jones

RU4ME was premiered as part of the 2011 True West season and will be touring Victoria, NSW and Southern QLD following the Riverside season.

Annie Byron brings all her charm and humour to Connie, a woman of a certain mature age who wants to believe that finding a romantic love is not the impossible dream.

Bravely she enters the one-line dating jungle and soon discovers that what you see is probably not what you get, there is no such thing as a free cup of coffee and that having John Clarke as your romantic ideal may be setting the bar just a little too high.

Based on Andee Jones best selling book, Kissing Frogs, it brings a humorous twist to those pressing questions about love such as, why is it so hard to find and even harder to keep? Is romantic love the impossible dream and how do you know Mr Right even when you find him?

Directed by Wayne Harrison who brought the hit shows Codgers and Biddies to the stage, this heart warming and funny show explores the heart hazards of social network dating in a laugh filled show, perfect for a fun night out.

RU4ME returns to Riverside to delight sold-out audiences once again. If you missed it last time, do yourself a favour and book early.

“RU4ME is a quirky comedy about a middle-aged woman’s foray into internet dating. Adapted from Andee Jones’ book “Kissing Frogs”, Annie Byron adds skillful playwriting to her already established theatrical career. The play is well written, tight and economic, a perfect vehicle for Byron’s style and timing…it is topical, fun, enjoyable and has great audience appeal.”

Kevin Jackson’s Theatre Diary, 23rd August 2013

“RU4ME is a delightful evening in the theatre with a winsomely seductive Connie (Annie Byron) who relates to us her ‘adventures’ in the sphere of ‘internet dating…I had a very easy time, and the audience about me had a very good time, as well. RU4ME is a theatre delight written by Ms Byron for Ms Byron to play. This charming work is touring around the states and country over the next month and I can quite genuinely recommend it as a pleasantly, gently rewarding time.”
