Beethoven: Symphony No. 3 Eroica

A program that features Joshua Clarke, Principal Trumpet of the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra and ex-member of the SBS Youth orchestra performing the ground breaking Trumpet Concerto by Josef Haydn. Also in this program the orchestra is offering you 2 other revolutionary works: The overture to the Marriage of Figaro by Mozart, the libretto for this opera that set the aristocracy on its head! and Beethoven’s sublime Eroica Symphony a work originally dedicated to Napoleon and written after Beethoven’s hearing began to fail, he became deeply depressed but then adopted what were revolutionary musical approaches to his compositions.
