Freedman New Jazz: Kristin Berardi

Soaring power and delicate nuances make 2003 Freedman Jazz Fellow Kristin Berardi one of Australia’s most gifted jazz singers. Having received every notable national jazz prize as well as the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival’s International Vocal Competition, Kristin’s original compositions and peerless interpretations showcase her exquisite timbre and effortless improvisations.

For this exclusive double-bill, Kristin will join forces with two of Australia’s most esteemed jazz artists to present a program of new music in two sets; in duo with National Award-winning bassist Sam Anning; and and then alongside Don Bank Award-winner, legendary pianist Mike Nock and his outstanding trio.
