ACCESSIBLE ARTS – BLUE GROTTO
The Blue Grotto Project is an outreach program from Beyond The Square, in which four schools from Western Sydney and one school in Orange work with professional film-makers to create content for screening in a purpose-built inflatable grotto. Students with special needs collaborate with professionals to create an underwater world complete with sounds and images created by them to form a short video based on the overarching theme of “water”. You can experience the Blue Grotto at Riverside Theatre’s Spot On! Children’s Festival, 26–28 September. Beyond The Square’s Creative Director, Alison Richardson, answers a few questions about the project.
