Laconic and dry-witted with a warm onstage charisma, Australian Stand Up Comedian Daniel Townes’ shows are packed with sharp one-liners, savage social commentary and dark-but-hilarious tales of his own failings.

Society’s shortcomings and foibles — from the big questions of life through to the petty grievances of day to day existence — are neatly excised by his sharp, razor-edged wit and rapid-fire delivery, guaranteeing a ferocious hit rate of punchlines-per-minute.

Townes pours 16 years of experience onstage into his dry, intelligent and brilliantly relatable comedy, with a laid-back charm that makes entertaining a room full of strangers look easy. With a knack for uncovering universal truths and packaging them with punchlines that relate to everyone, by the end of the show you’ll feel like you’ve known him for years.

He’s an annual regular at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Sydney Comedy Festival. He has performed at the prestigious invite-only Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, and won fans worldwide, headlining comedy clubs throughout the UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany, Spain, Ireland, South Africa, Canada, The Netherlands, the UAE, Qatar, and all over Australia.

His hour-long special for Comedy Next Gen (ABC Comedy) in 2018 was one of their most popular for the season. He has also performed on Comedy Up Late (ABC Comedy), The Stand Up Series (Just For Laughs Sydney, Comedy Channel), Good News Week (Ch 10), Stand Up Australia (Comedy Channel), The Footy Show (Ch 9), Stand Up (ABC), and had numerous appearances on Cracker NightThe Sydney Comedy Festival Gala (Comedy Channel).

He currently has two full-length specials available: Previously (2012), and Crash and Burn (2018).

Steph Broadbridge is a Sydney based musical comedian.

Steph found comedy pretty late in life, having started out as a musician. She has made an incredible impact in the short 3 and a half years she has been performing.

Steph is a regular host and headliner at all the Sydney comedy clubs having performed alongside Ronny Chieng, Jimeoin, Matt Okine and Dave Hughes. She has performed at Splendour in the Grass as well as Sydney and Melbourne Comedy Festivals and the Sydney Fringe Festival.

Never short of an opinion, Steph will have you laughing out loud at things you didn’t think you would laugh at while always managing to be the butt of every joke. Steph gigs every night so if you haven’t seen her yet you will pretty soon, the industry has started to notice.

Steph was a Raw National Finalist in 2019 and her first solo show ‘Female Musical Comedian’ was nominated and short listed for ‘Best Comedy’ at Sydney Fringe Festival, which put her in contention with Matt Okine, Lawrence Mooney and the eventual winner, Robyn Perkins.

“She broke someone with laughter” –Hugging comedians (MICF 2018)

“Steph Broadbridge was easily the stand-out performance of the night with her sharp, mischievous and unpredictable humour and perfect comic timing.”– (MICF 2019)

“Steph Broadbridge is one of the hardest working and most naturally funny comedians in the up and coming scene. Also she’s not an asshole which is cool/rare.” – Cameron James

“The terrifying darkness that sits behind Steph Broadbridge’s sunny demeanour is truly worrying, but luckily, it’s also compelling, innovative and hilarious.” – Michael Hing

“Steph’s dedication to her craft has seen her perform the amount of gigs in one year that some comedians knock off in a whole career. I look forward to her continuous improvement and reinvention over the coming years as she carves out a unique space in the Australian comedy scene.” – Justin Hamilton
