Presented by the Cultural Arts Collective, this concert is the culmination of 6 years work with the culturally diverse communities of Western Sydney.
Richard Petkovic and Maria Mitar (Blue Mary) have worked with musicians hidden from the mainstream and embraced their talent and stories to create meaningful and accessible music that includes our differences.
The concert will feature an 8 piece multicultural band that traverses the musical terrain between the driving rhythms of ‘Tribal Rock’ and the soaring melodies of ‘Sacred Pop’ and features many special guests including; Sufi musician, Asim Gorashi and Mongolian throat singer, Bukhu Gamburged.
The concert (and CD) will have you celebrating our difference and our ‘Common Ground’!
