If you’re lucky you’ll be poured a pot of ice-cold beer, be invited to share in the bar snacks and join in some hilarious karaoke antics. Barmaids is the story of Val and Nancy, two mature barmaids who work at The Arms Hotel in an Australian port town. When Management introduce a new breed of karaoke singing and topless barmaids their jobs are placed in jeopardy. Through Val and Nancy the play explores the issues of relationships, love, aging and being valued for work. As the laughter grows and grows it becomes such an enjoyable night out you won’t want to go home.
