UNMASKING THEATRE OF MOVEMENT:
A PRACTICAL WORKSHOP IN THE LECOQ® TECHNIQUE

“There are three masks; the one we think we are, the one we really are, and the one we have in common.” – Jacques Lecoq

After successful education seasons of Lecoq® seminars in 2017, the acclaimed Clockfire Theatre Company return to Riverside.

Led by Lecoq® trained alumni Emily Ayoub and Alicia González, this unmissable interactive workshop introduces students to Jacques Lecoq’s insight ‘tout bouge’ (everything moves) and takes them on a comprehensive journey of the renowned technique. Using observations of the everyday and the application of the Neutral Mask the workshop will prove to be invaluable in helping your students discover practical and physical approaches to theatre and performance making.

FROM THE PROGRAM COORDINATOR

In 2017, we presented the seminar version of Unmasking the Theatre of Movement, but you wanted more and we heard you. The same very knowledgeable team from Clockfire Theatre Company comes back in 2018 with practical workshops which give your students a more hands on approach and an experience with the movement itself. Great for students studying the Lecoq® technique in Year 12 Drama, as well as students in junior years to learn some of the fundamentals of physical theatre and neutral mask.
