JOHN WATERS

John Waters is one of Australia’s most recognised and respected television, film and theatrical actors.

Born in London, he moved to Australia in the late 60s and was soon making his mark in films and theatre productions. Waters was cast as Claude in the 1969 production of Hair and soon followed with other lead roles in Godspell and Jesus Christ Superstar.

He is still widely loved and remembered for his long running appearance on Playschool from 1972 to 1991. Other TV highlights include All The Rivers Run, Rush, All Saints, Sea Patrol, Offspring, Rake and most recently on ABC TV’s Mystery Road.
