As we celebrate historic victories in Australia’s history for the LGBTIQ community, it is vital we continue to recognise past, present and future voices.
We bring to Riverside the beautifully realised and empowering In Between (Israel), the Best of MGFF18 Shorts screens the most moving, funny and daring shorts of the festival hailing from Poland, the USA, the UK and Mexico and A Moment in the Reeds (Finland) promises to be one of the most sexually charged films of the festival.
Signature Move is the hilarious and sexy lesbian comedy in which a Pakistani-American lawyer deals with the aftermath of a tequila fuelled one night stand with a Mexican-American bookstore owner and Die Beautiful (Philippines) stars fabulous Filipino superstar Paolo Ballesteros as Trisha Echevarria, a gorgeous transgender beauty queen. When her life comes to an abrupt end, her friends fulfil her dying wish to be dressed up as a different celebrity for each day of her wake.
This unmissable lineup of films will screen from Friday 16 March – Sunday 18 March at the Riverside Theatres.
