Sydney Sacred Music Festival


Welcome to the Sydney Sacred Music Festival 2013. Now in its third year, this festival continues to bring communities and artists from many traditions and faiths together to celebrate this amazing multicultural country.

This year, the Festival includes music, film, artist workshops and ceremony at free and ticketed events and the launch of the first Sydney Sacred Music compilation CD, 14 tracks of diverse music and ceremony from Australian artists participating in this years Festival. The CD is available at most participating venues or follow our links to hear and purchase our CD online.

Over 7 – 8 September, the Sydney Sacred Music Festival will bring Riverside the following line-up:

SATURDAY, 7 SEPTEMBER

2:00pm – Film – Bardsongs
4:00pm – Film – The Container

SUNDAY, 8 SEPTEMBER
11:00am to 12:30pm – Film –Tibet In Song
12:00pm to 2:00pm – Children’s Workshop
12:30 to 1:30pm – Vegetarian Cooking Demonstration with Ling Halbert
1:00pm to 3:00pm – Film – A Series of Short films on Tibet (+ Q&A with Tenpa Dugdak)
2:00pm to 2:15pm – Chanting performance by Lao Temple Bonnyrigg
2:30pm to 3:30pm – Tea Ceremony with Ling Halbert
3:00pm to 5:00pm – Children’s Workshop
3:30pm to 3:45pm – Chanting performance by Bori Temple Gordon
5:00pm – Concert – “For Tibet with Love” featuring Tenzin Choegyal and Friends
