Politics, charity and good intentions are always messy and complicated. Two young adults head overseas with the objective to change the world for the better, but can they? Emily heads to the world’s largest slums in Kenya as a volunteer for a charitable NGO, Luisa to Oxford University in the UK, both full of passion, hope and enthusiasm. They soon realise that reality isn’t always what you signed up for.
Flight Paths is a world premiere play written by Sydney playwright Julian Larnach and directed by Anthea Williams, winner of the 2017 Sydney Theatre Awards for best direction (Hir, Belvoir).
