Straight Outta Compo


Award-winning producer, Joe Avati, has put together another show, Straight Outta Compo, starring the guys from Here Come The Habibs and Fat Pizza (Rob and Tahir), plus George Kapiniaris from Wogs out of Work and Joe Avati himself.

Joe Avati is a second generation Italian born and bred in Australia, and has become a firm fixture on the Australian comedy circuit alongside comic greats such as Carl Barron, Judith Lucy and Shane Bourne. Fans of Joe Avati may know him from one of his wildly successful productions or comedy albums, including Il Dago, Il Dago II, Comicus Erectus, The Good, The Bad and The Ethnic, Livin’ La Dolce Vita and Live and Unpluggato.

George Kapiniaris is one of this country’s best loved comedy, music and TV stars. You will know him from  his starring role in the hugely popular stage show Wogs Out Of Work whereby the Australian public embraced him and continued to see George use his Greek heritage as inspiration for future roles and performances. Since then, George has gone on to win several awards along with having countless credits to his name.

Rob Shehadie is the co-creator of Channel Nine’s hit comedy-drama, Here Come The Habibs, as well as actor, associate producer, story consultant and original concept for the show, he has been busy to say the least.

Tahir was named Comedian of the Year and has been Logie nominated. Tahir is also one of the co-creators of Here Come The Habibs and was a star of Fat Pizza.
