Rumour Has It

…and do tell everyone!rumour-has-it-600-2

British pop superstar Adele is a very big deal overseas and in Australia. According to statistics one in every 22 Australians own a copy of her best known album, 21. This particular album brought us smash hit singles Rolling In the Deep, Someone Like You and Rumour Has It. Enter Naomi Price, one of Australia’s leading cabaret and theatre performers, best known for her performances on The Voice Australia. So what happens if you put the music of Adele together with Naomi’s talent? In February Riverside audiences get to find out when Naomi and her electrifying six-piece band perform for one night only, Rumour Has It.

This multi award-winning production comes to us from The Little Red Company in association with Christine Harris & HIT Productions. In fact, the show has done so well it cleaned up the Matilda Award for Best Musical or Cabaret in 2014, the Groundling Award for Best Musical Production that same year and received glowing reviews from the press. “Don’t miss this. It will make you glad to be alive.” wrote Scenestr. “A powerhouse performance that never flags for a second” said Greenroom.

Acclaimed seasons at Sydney Opera House, Hamer Hall in Melbourne and the Adelaide Cabaret Festival have had audiences on their feet. The show evokes the inspirational spirit and rumour-has-it-1200-1talent of a mischievous working class diva from Tottenham as she spills intimate details about a meteoric rise that has captured hearts across the globe.

Also originally from England, Naomi’s extensive performance credits include the original cast of Ladies in Black with Melbourne Theatre Company and Queensland Theatre Company, and Kiss Me Kate for Opera Queensland, with numerous television appearances and international performances.

Described as “The next best thing to seeing Adele live” (Stage Whispers), Rumour Has It features Turning Tables, Set Fire to the Rain and the Oscar-winning Skyfall.

Don’t miss Rumour Has It starring Naomi Price at Riverside on Friday 17 February at 8pm. Click here to secure your tickets now!
